Joseph Anthony "Tony" Edgerly

Joseph Anthony “Tony” Edgerly, 60, died Monday, November 3, 2014. He was born in Savannah, son of Joseph Jacob and Bobbie Alexander Edgerly.
Tony was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 508, Savannah, GA for 41 years. He held several positions with the Local, including President, Pension Fund Trustee, Health Care Plan and Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. He loved his job because he loved talking to and meeting people. He never met a stranger.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus 631; 4th Degree Knight Assembly 173; Irish Heritage Society; Friendly Sons of St. Patrick; St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee; Catholic War Veterans-Associate member. He was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Tony loved his family. His sons were his pride and joy. Tony's favorite day of the year was St. Patrick's Day when he was surrounded by family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Ginny Edgerly; sons, Michael Edgerly and fiancé, Jennifer Smith and Patrick Edgerly; father-in-law, Bill Hudson (Margot); sisters-in-law, Shirley Wohleber (John), Anita Phillips (Richard); brother-in-law, Charles Hudson (Darden); several nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Gepetto.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m.
The memorial mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2014 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School, P.O. Box 30460, Savannah, GA 31410 or Benedictine Military School, 6502 Seawright Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.

Even though Tony and I are family we never saw each other busy with life and our on worlds, but one day a year St. Patrick's Day we always managed to find each other get a hug and kiss and say we would get together later.
